I work in a pharmacy... raised platform about 7inches up. if I step up down in 5 minute spurts, can I count it as exercise? and add calories to my meals? how could I count? yesterday I did 3 5min sections... what do y'all think?

  • Search aerobics step--use the 6-8 inch option and log your minutes .

If it is work and this activity is apart of your normal work day, you might want to work it into your lifestyle calories when you are setting up your profile.

You also might want to get a fitbit and let it count all of your activity for you. I love mine.

This is part of your daily activity that you use when setting up your goal, not consistent exercise. Im a nurse on my feet constantly for 12 hrs a day; I don't count it as exercise.
  • sounds to me like the OP is "sneaking in exercise" at work--pretending the platform is a "Step" like one would use their home stairs and purposefully doing an up-down movement AS EXERCISE.

At least that's what I took from it.

what's an OP? yeah.. I'm trying to sneak in a little more mobility. that's why I asked if I can count it or not.it's movement not generally in my day... not breaking a sweat but can I count it and eat a little more???

OP, is original poster (I think) and yes I would count it, if you are doing it for the purpose of exercise log it. Like someone else said search step aerobics and log the minutes you do. Or the heart rate monitor option.
