Ok here is a question...
So when you look at the nutritional info on an item and it says it is based on a 2000 calorie diet, how do you figure it out when your diet is only 1420 calories?

I have always suppose that is only for the percentages.
The other info cant change. Food is going to have the same amount of stuff regardless caloric diets.0 -
It only affects the percentages. If it says there are 200 calories in it, there are always 200 calories in it regardless of how many calories you eat in a day.

vitamins and minerals are "targets" for the day regardless of calorie intake are they not? vit A C D K etc have targets separate from the calories.0

they mean the % is based
so if it says 200 calories
30 grams of fat 50%
30 grams of carb 50^%
then the 30 grams would be 50 % of what you need if you were eating 2,000 calories a day
for purposes here on this site, you simply need to input calories and grams ,,,0 -
Thanks guys!
I wasn't sure if I had to worry about that number.0
