Mine are all terribly lame. My mom lives far away, so I bought her a big bouquet and send her a three opening picture frame with pictures of us in them.

If she were nearby I'd love to make her breakfast and take her out to do something fun-- a botanical garden or reflexology path walk, sculpture garden near the beach...

    I find these guides hugely helpful: http://www.redenvelope.com/?REF=REDSRCHgoogkwd_red envelope_e_BRAND&NoExitPopup=Y&MATCHTYPE=search&KEYWORD=red envelope_e&ADTEXT=11055356319&NETWORK=google&PRID=alex5off&gclid=COXfnfa67K8CFQ4zhwodNx2z3A

I also really like the magazines that suggest gifts, like Real Simple. The page is usually near the front. They have the picture of an item, like a scarf, and then where you can buy it along with the price. Good luck!

Is she active? IF you have a funky running mom, COMPRESSION socks are an awesome gift!! :)

Or a blooming tea set! They are so pretty and taste wonderful - I gave one to my mom last year - check them out on amazon.

Or anything off of ETSY --- beautiful jewelry, unique plates, whatever, that site is really fun!

I've been gifting my Mom the Penguin Classics with the cloth, designed covers. You can get them on Amazon for pretty cheap.

I suggested my husband take the kids to the jewelry store and have them pick out a couple of charms for my Pandora bracelet.
