So, yesterday I overate by incredible amounts due to going to an all you can eat buffet and not being able to control myself ( something this incident has highlighted to me that i need to work on ) however no ive been stuck all day wondering whether to eat or not to try and balance the calories out. so far ive had a couple of eggs and rye crackers because i was starving, just wondering what I should do? dont feel particuarly hungry at the moment but i know i will do soon....i just feel so bad for eating because of yesterday!

Your not alone I ate way to many calories Yesterday too. I love Mexican food and I killed about half a dozen brisket Fajita burritos + a ton of chips a guacamole. I went way over on my calories. However today is a new day and we can't and shouldn't dwell on the past just concern yourself with the future and how well your going to do Today and tomorrow. Besides everybody slips now and then so no big deal just get back on your diet as quick as possible. You should allow yourself a cheat every now and then. Your metabolism is red hot so with all your positive exercise and calorie counting this is no problem for your body to handle. Also it reminds you how that feels to overeat so maybe next time you won't do it.

I would agree with the others and say eat normally... however:
Eat foods high in protein and drink lots of water. Eggs were a good choice.

Going from one day of overeating to one day of under-eating WILL balance out your calories, but make sure you don't make yourself miserable. If you are hungry, EAT.. and make sure you're making the calories you are taking in COUNT.

Tomorrow is another day! Best of luck.

Your 1200 calorie daily goal is very low to start with.
I would not leave any calories remaining on a 1200 if I were you.
You have 719 left., so eat them woman ;)
  • Eat normally, or at the very least eat healthier. Try to have a raw veggie day today.
My hubby is constantly sabotaging my diet, and so when I find out how many calories I have had I take the next day as a raw veggie day. No dressings or anything like that. Broccoli, carrots, sugar snap peas, salad (with vinegar), and various fruits! Also, dont forget to fidget! if you do a rigorous fidgeting for 1 hour it burns 120 calories!

Everyone already said basically the same thing, you should eat today. The day after eating too much is a great day to really focus on the things you eat that day and what to do so that you don't make the same mistakes next time. But you do need to eat today. Think how hungry you are already (or were before you followed everyone's great advice) and imagine what could happen tomorrow, you'll be so hungry you won't be able to stay under your calories for the day. Better to get back on board right now and stay there!

I am right there with you! yesterday I ate about 2000 calories (Taco Mac - and fish tacos at that -- UGHHHHH), today I ate my 1200, and drank water whenever I could think of it. For the next few days I will probably increase my water to help flush it out. It's okay to break out of the norm every once in a while. Remind yourself you enjoyed it, but not get back to a healthier reality. Keep up the fantastic work! Move forward!
