I have the dvd "jillian michaels for beginners", which I got a while back. It has 6 interval training circuits, and the one I tried was a good workout, just incredibly boring. White background, no music, a lot of talking but it was like I was eavesdropping on a conversation. I don't need a fireworks show and an overly peppy trainer, just a bit of personality.
My question is, are all her dvds the same thing? I've heard about and seen pics of great results using 30 Day Shred, but is it just as bland?
30-Day Shred has that crappy generic workout video music, but the background is a fitness studio. But, yeah, boring. I have to talk myself into it every time and I hate every minute (though it's effective). I've given up on it and just hit the gym for 30 minutes a day for weights and then do my cardio usually outside.0 -
honestly i am always too busy working hard to pay attention to the music, but her crazy rants sometimes help so much when i feel i cant go any longer, she makes me laugh.0

Yeah... I only have 30 day shred and I found that one too boring to finish. I only got through 10 days of level 1 and 5 of level 2 before quitting. I got no more trouble zones which I don't think is boring, but I don't do it because I'm doing P90X instead. Jillian Michaels workouts are a lot of low weight/high rep stuff and I find that boring in itself.0

Try to vary her Dvd. Fat blasting Metabolism booster, No trouble zones , six pack abs. yoga melt. There pretty fast pace.0

Maybe you're more bored with the workout? Try 30DS or No More Trouble Zones. I started with NMTZ, it's an hour long, and I loved it. I saw almost immediate results as far as new muscle growth. Inner thigh muscles, helllerrrr! :happy:0

I loved JM for getting me back in shape. loved her then I bought Body Revolution. INCREDIBLY TOO EASY for me. What a waste of money. I burned 150 calories in 30 minutes and barely got my heart rate up. thought it was just the level so I skipped 2 weeks and moved up. Still too easy. I can do better with walking.0

I have her Yoga Meltdown video and love it. It has a really good pace considering it is yoga, and not boring at all.0

I did two weeks of Insanity before injuring my ankles from the high impact exercises. Shaun T. makes Jillian Michaels look like the lady who used to do the chair aerobics program on PBS when I was a kid. I started the Ripped in 30 workout today and while I feel tired from having not worked out in a month and a half, I have a feeling I will get bored of this pretty quick.0

Why would I want subliminal messages from a DVD? When I am lifting at the gym, I dont need the 'messages', so I dont need them during DVDs noise either.0 -

Love her workouts! They are fast and effective! Had great results with 30DS and am having great results with Ripped In 30! I especially love her when she is muted and I have my surround sound on with some good music!0

I have the 30 Day Shred, Banish Fat/Boost Metabolism, and No More Trouble Zones. They are all great! The Banish Fat is more cardio, and the Trouble Zones is more weights. I like to alternate the two. Maybe that's just an older DVD of her's and that's why it's kind of boring?0

She definitley is a bore. I just started her Six Week 6 Pack! But as long as I'm passed out in a puddle of my own sweat at the end of the DVD, I think the boredom is well worth it *shrug*0

I don't like Jillian. My favorites are Cathe Friedrich, Jeanette Jenkins, Michelled Dozois, and Turbofire. They're advanced workouts and much more fun.0

I workout with her daily and find her anything but boring! Crank up some of your favorite music-do the workout without instruction. I have 30 day shred/6 week 6 pack and No More Trouble Zones-and one my way to buy her Kick boxing DVD-love Jillian.

I have 30DS & RI30. I agree, the talking can get to be a bit much. I always have my own music on while I'm doing the workouts, that way I stay motivated.0

Love the body revolution because its something different every day. I did slim in six and HATED it. It was the same thing every day and when you moved up it was the same moves but maybe add a bicep curl. So with body revolution you do "fronts" one day and then "backs" the next and then cardio the next and repeat. then a day off.0

I think its rather sad if people get all arsey over saying Jillian is boring. Her workouts are excellent but her dvd layouts are gloomy and the music is non existent. Press mute and get yer I pod out.0

I own several of her dvd's and I don't like her workouts. I'm sure they are effective but I just don't like her style and always reach for another dvd. Billy Blanks and Taebo is my all time favorite. I just don't like Jillian's "I'm a bad mean b!tch and I'm gonna kick your *kitten*" style.0
