132 Day Difference

Sitting at home today with a case of pink eye and just generally feeling "blah" so thought I would post a little pick me up.

I suffer from a case of "fat girl-itis." Despite KNOWING I've lost weight and KNOWING I'm wearing a smaller size, I just don't SEE the difference in my body when I look in the mirror. Can't wait until that feeling goes away.

I started on December 28 at about 180 lbs. I was a size 14/16.

I am now down to 143 and a size 8 (in the picture to the left).

The baby in the picture is now a 6 year old boy! So long ago and definitely near my heaviest!

    I am the same way I don't see it sometimes. But it does help looking back at old pictures and compare to new ones.

    Congrats! You look amazing and wow on all the hard work paid off. You SHOULD feel skinny because you are!!! You have come soooo far! Can I ask how tall you are? I need to stay focused as I want to be an 8 too! :-)Anne

    You look great but getting yourself to really see yourself again takes time.
    You got use to seeing a certain person in the mirror and it can take a while refocus your image.
    I still see the old me sometimes. :wink:

    Thanks everyone! I'm really trying to get my brain to catch up to my body. Can't wait!

    For now, I'm really enjoying shopping for new clothes. I hated the way I looked in clothes so I never shopped. I didn't realize that until now. I always wore grey and black. I dressed frumpy to try to hide my body.

    Now, though, I love shopping. Just need my bank account to catch up! LOL
