General Question about MFP Sugar daily goals

I'm very surprised by the little amount of fruit it takes to go over the recommended daily limit for sugars on MFP. A large banana, 10 strawberries, and a large apple maxes out the sugars on a normal day before exercising. Obviously that number adjusts for calories burned, but does the daily goal seem to be too low? With the summer coming up, I eat a lot of fruit, and make fruit salads nearly every week - it would seem that one large bowl would max me out for the day.

I'm not really worried about it because I have been active and working out, but I would welcome some input from those who might offer their advice or knowledge. Thanks.

As an exercise controlled diabetic I can tell you not all sugar is the same. For instance, 1/2 banana is considered a serving (low side on fruit fiber) and so is a large granny smith apple (so much more fiber). Fiber makes up for a lot of sugar in the diet. That being said, when I do eat fruit I often accompany it with a side of 6 almonds (42 cals) or a little cinnamon as they both help control blood sugar and blood sugar fluxuation generally inhibits weight loss.

If you are hitting your protein and vitamin goals I wouldn't stress bout it too much.
