Low Glycemic Foods

If there is a thread for this already, I apologize, and please post the link, thank you.

I am giving this site another try since a good portion of my friends and family are using it. My concern is that the calculations do not seem to take into account a low glycemic diet plan. I am borderline diabetic, with a family history of the disease. I have previoulsy lost 80 pounds by consuming only good carbs and doing strength training. I gained 30 pounds back, so not only do I have to lose that, but I am trying for an additonal 30 pounds.

I eat only those foods that have a low impact on my blood sugar. All foods have a low glycemic load and an index under 55. This site says I should consume 1200 calories perday. I consume roughly 1300, but I am always over my quota for protein and way under the quota for carbs.

I have lost 4 pounds per week for the last month, but my calculations never match that. Is there something else I should be doing?
