I hate my body because it doesn't have the flat stomach, small hips, and beautiful bodies like you see in magazines. :(

Prisoner's dilemma: Would you rat out your accomplice for a shorter sentence or would you not betray your partner in crime? Keep in mind that if he or she rats you out, you both serve a longer sentence.

Braess's Paradox: You need to drive somewhere in a hurry. But it's a busy day and there are sure to be a ton of cars every road. Do you take the shortest path from point A to point B or do you try to weave and take back roads even though it is a longer journey in hopes of arriving quicker?

Traveler's Dilemma: An airline loses two passenger's identical suitcases. The airline has insurance up to $100 so the steward separates the two people. He tells each that he will pay the true value and asks each to give the value. If the values presented are the same, that is what he will pay out. If your value is more than the others, you get the smaller amount and vice versa. What do you do?

El Farol Bar Problem: Every Thursday, El Farol Bar has a shindig. It's a great time, but space is limited and if too many people show up it's no fun. The threshold is approximately 60% of your town's population. Everyone wants to go, but you know that if more than 60% of the population shows up, you'll have a miserable time. If less than 60% show up, you'll have a great time. Oh yeah, and it's on a boat so you can't show up, scout it out, and leave.

Chicken game: You get in an argument with your husband and decide to drive at each other in cars at over 100 miles an hour. The first one to turn loses. Who turns first?

Monty Hall Problem: A gameshow host tells you that you can pick between three doors for a new car. The other two doors have a goat behind them. You pick door one. The host opens door three and reveals a goat. He gives you the opportunity to change your decision. Do you stick with door one or change to door two?

How could I forget the classic Battle of the Sexes? Your husband wants to go to a football game. You want to go to an opera. But more than anything, you want to be together. You agree to meet at one of the locations, but it will be a surprise. Do you show up at the football game where you'll have a worse time than the opera, or show up at the opera where you'd have a better time? Keep in mind that your husband could pick the other option and then both of you would end up at separate events, alone.

    Cheers.
