I have two young sons. To be completely honest, it would sadden/disappoint (not sure what the right word is here) me on some level. But I love them so much, I would accept it and do everything I could to make him feel loved and accepted.

Someone I know well through work's son committed suicide on Friday night. Although I'd never met the son (he was an adult and lived in the US, his father in England) it's had a huge impact on everyone I work with.

I know it's not the same, but I can only imagine the effect of a death without loved ones having the chance to say goodbye.

Heartbreaking. There are far too many stories like that one out there. I don't care what your religious beliefs are, legally people should have a way to protect themselves and their loved ones.

I can see why the parents would do the things they did. It's sad, but, like he said - they waited until it was too late. They should have at least had wills set up so that the other is in charge/etc. It's too bad.
