Tough Month

I am having a hard time this month tracking and losing weight. May is a hard month for me .... both my girls have birthdays as well as my husband. Factor in Mothers Day and other bday parties for friends and I am toast! Does anybody else have a month that is worse then others (Christmas not included).

    Not month, but weeks. My vacation weeks are pretty much going to tank my loosing weight so I just try to maintain. Lets face it, I love my hubby to death, but his idea of heathy and my idea of healthy are so vastly different that we just might die at the same time which would be amazing since he has fantastic genes and I have really crummy ones.

    I will say that I throw out cake after the party and I try to make sure there are low cal healthy choices during any parties.

    why do holidays make it worse? Its not holi-weeks?

    I've been at this counting calorie business for 3.5 years. I've found that it is possible to have one piece of birthday cake or other things that come with celebrations. There will always be tempting food around--at work, at church, at the office, etc. As time goes by it becomes easier to say "no, thank you", or to just have a small portion. Being on a "diet" doesn't mean you can never eat sweets, pizza, hamburgers, etc. You just learn when to say "yes, please" or "no, thanks." You CAN be successful in May.
