Hi, My name is Amanda.. I'm from New Brunswick, Canada. I'm 5'7, currently at 240 lbs, and I hope to be at least 160 lbs.
i just turned 23.. actually around the same time i found this app on my ipod!
I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to say, but here it goes.
I've been struggling with my weight as long as i can remember.. my family always teased me about how i looked.. and honestly, looking back at when they used to tell me i was fat, i was the skinniest little thing compared to now! Anyway, that's beside the point.
I'm not comfortable in anything I wear. I always feel like people are staring at my size.. A lot of people are actually surprised when I tell them how much I weigh.. To be honest, I'm even shocked at the number. Most people think I'm 40 lbs lighter than I actually am. I've always tried different diets and going to the gym, but my problem is motivation. I get into it for a few days, then I'm right back to where I started. I always have an excuse for everything. But since finding my fitness pal, I've been doing really good. Eating healthy, walking every night, always keeping myself busy. I just started Zumba today! I feel like for the first time in my life, I actually can say that I've stuck with something for longer than a week. I know it's only been 2 weeks, but I feel very proud of myself, and in the course of only two weeks, i've lost 5 lbs!
I'm sure you'll be hearing a lot more from me in the coming months.. And I'll definitely be needing all of you to help keep me going!

Welcome and good luck. Don't downplay your accomplishments. So its been two weeks, that is better than two days... right? We all have to start somewhere. Again, good luck!
