I am having a TERRIBLE time with my snacking...it is throwing my diet. I ate TWO cookies at work today for no reason except they were there and i was bored and having a bad day. Came home and a good dinner and then ate a piece of dark chocolate and some sunflower seeds shortly after I had just eaten. I am truly trying not to snack or eat past 8 pm. ANy suggestions so I can keep my diet on track!? Tea...drink tons of water? HELP!!!

I have the same issue. I slip sometimes but most often chewing strong mint gum helps a lot. I ruins the taste of anything I eat so it really is a big help.

try planning little snacks and treats for yourself. It will help curb cravings and allows you to still eat the things you love

I've gone through so much gum the past month it's crazy! I work at a restaurant so I used to graze allll day. It's just a matter of looking at that, thinking if it's REALLY worth it and making the choice to pass it by. I still catch myself trying to grab something here or there every once in a while, but overall after time it's been easier to avoid it all together. It takes 28 days to make something a habit, so try to avoid the snacks for that time and if it's still impossible then reevaluate.

I snack a lot too, but I try to have small portion snacks available so that I don't go overboard. As well, I try to assess exactly what I'd like to eat at that moment instead of just eating whatever is handy.

Bring all of your own {healthy} snacks to work... that way if you are wanting to munch on something you will be munching on your healthy foods vs. what's lying around the office... I started doing that and now it's so SO much easier to pass up on almost everything that is 'bad' at the office.

When I don't drink plenty of water, all I want to do is snack. Make sure you drink water - and LOTS of it throughout the day. (BTW, I like, no LOVE!, chewy candy... I keep Fiber Gummies on hand so when I want some candy, I eat a couple of those, have a big glass of water, and then there's no room for anything else. Or I chew on dessert gum. Key Lime Pie is my favorite - it makes my mouth water. Strawberry shortcake - not so good, but you decide!)

    Try these:

Be sure to not give yourself opportunities to snack. Throw those cookies out! My girlfriend and I are both snackers, so we have a constant supply of fresh fruit and veggies available if we absolutely need to munch on something.

ooooo thanks for these! I will have to make some. Trying to steer clear of all the junk in the kitchen at work and I have an apple to eat during rehearsal instead of candy!
