C25K app vs Garmin statistics

Hi all!! I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this and if you were able to figure out which stats were most accurate. I am doing the Couch to 5k program; I purchased the active.com C25k app and am following the workout on the app. I have been struggling with trying to figure out exactly how many calories I'm burning so I decided to use my Garmin Forerunner (yes, it's ancient but it still works!) to help me with the calories. At the end of my run/walk, I discovered that the stats from the app and my Garmin were a bit off.
APP: 18:25 min/mile, 1.68 miles, 31 minutes for the workout
GARMIN: 19:14 min/mile, 1.61 miles, 30:54 minutes for the workout

(ok.. yes, the minutes might be off since I wasn't able to hit start at the same time on both, but... the distance and pace are definitely not in sync)

Anyone else have this problem? Did you resolve it? Which one was most accurate? I like using my Garmin to help me figure out calories burned, but... I like the pace and distance that the app is giving me. : ) Any suggestions, tips, advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!
