Ive hearing alot of talk about ppl telling others they are not eating enough calories. What is not enough? What is too much? Mine tells me i can have 2100 but my goal is 1800. Is this ok? Im new to all this and want to make sure i am doing this right

Generally speaking, for a girl, I don`t think you will be starving at 1800. I would say go for it.

My net daily caloric goal is currently at 1750. I am 5`7`` and losing weight steadily at this.

I started with 100 lbs to lose on 1900, so either sounds pretty good.
If your dr recommended 1800 I'd start with that, you can always adjust later if needed :-)
  • Ok great. Im 5'7 as well. Thanks so much. I will stay at 1800 then!
  • Thank u. I have a goal of 100 pounds to loose

depends on your height, weight, age, and activity level. I would assume 1800 is a good amount. You can calculate your BMR (it's under the tools tab) and anything under that number is not enough. You should always net at least your BMR. (by net, I mean what you eat minus the calories you burn through exercise) You can calculate a rough estimate for your maintenance calories... but to know for sure how many calories you burn in a day you'd have to wear a heart rate monitor...
