I feel sooo bad  I went over my calorie limit by 260 cals...and I knew I was going over WHILE I was going over too! We go shopping on every other Sunday so we're low on food so hubby wanted to get the new Quizno torpedo things and I was going to just have half but I was still hungry so I was going to have another quarter of it but ended up having the ENTIRE sandwich  I feel stupid especially since I knew darn well I was going over :brokenheart:

I was just sitting here thinking the same thing...except mine is because of cookouts. We have a lot of friends who have been having cookouts. I love to go and hang out, but all the food is high calorie, high fat. Hot dogs, brats, pasta salads, beans, desserts. It's been hard staying under my calories. Went over by 123 cals today-even though I took tiny amounts of food they served. Feeling frustrated :0(

It's inevitable we're going to all go over our calories some days. It's not a bad thing in the long run. :)

I went over by almost 600 calories today. However, this is the first time I have been over in 3 months. We went to a diner today and gave up trying to stay under after I saw the menu. Next I am not letting my mother in law pick where we eat.:grumble:

Tomorrow is another day and my long run day.

hello!! if you know you're going over, then add in a walk! they're LOTS of fun and you feel MUCH better afterwards. But if you can't do that, then do a bunch of push ups and sit ups. they may not match up how many calories you went over but they'll make you feel better. but you know what, it is 4th of july weekend. we're ALL bound to go over. Just remember, holidays are not a good excuse. Just hoping to help all of you refocus on your goal. :flowerforyou:

Don't beat yourself up. You can still lose weight if you go over a little bit, I did. The limit is set to only lose 1 lb a week, so if you eat less than your limit another day, it will offset today. Remember, success is a journey, not a destination!

Thanks everyone! And right after I posted this I went for a 45 minutes walk with my hubby and 7 month old. I told him Quiznos was your idea, your coming with me  It was nice (but very, very hot!) I feel better now! And the more I was thinking about it, I changed my calorie goal from the one that MFP set for me...so I guess it wasn't as bad as it could have been!!!

You've already got a built in deficit of calories to lose weight, If you only went over by 260 calories I wouldn't worry about it too much. Do a little exercise for it tomorrow but don't eat those exercise calories...The upside is you are now armed with this information and probably won't make the same mistake next time you walk into quiznos:flowerforyou:

So I just put in my exercise and what do you know...my 45 minutes of walking at a moderate pace burned off EXACTLY 260 calories  YAY!!! Not to mention there was a lot of up hill and I was pushing the stroller the whole time so I prob actually burned off more than that!!! I feel so much better now (YIPPEE)

Just as bad...I was wayyyyy under yesterday. Like 700 calories under my minimum. .

I ate a fantastic breakfast (bacon, eggs, toast, fruit) yesterday, then set out to spring clean my kitchen. I busted my butt at it and about 2:00 realized I hadn't had a snack OR lunch. The fridge was unplugged, so no rummaging and the kitchen was a wreck!! So no cooking. I grabbed some peanut butter and crackers, finished up the kitchen. I still had to do the grocery shopping for my family of 5, so I grabbed a hard boiled egg and headed out. Got home and had an appointment scheduled so I grabbed a couple handfuls of peanuts and an iced tea, but man....I didn't feel well.

    Today will be better!

whenever i go to a cookout now I bring some chicken with me or every once in a while ill indulge on a nice lean steak that isnt too fatty....and I ask whoever is doing the cookout to cook up whatever i bring... and then i just explain its because i have a certain regimen i want to follow while eating...everyone understands and i usually get a "good job staying on track".....so for the most part people wont consider it rude...and before hand pack a small garden salad instead of digging into the pasta salads and potato salads...or just have the beans...beans are good for u ! :)

You have to make the best choices with what you have available which unfortunately is alot easier to do at home than it is at a friends or a restaurant.
Personally if you don't go over very often I don't see it as a big deal. I think it is far worse to deprive yourself when you are hungry than feed your body some not so healthy food.

Good for you taking a walk afterwards.. and especially making the man come with you since the Quiznos was his idea...lol I would have done the same thing to my brat of a boyfriend :)
