Just For Today

Happy 4th of July my MFP friends.

Just for today I am going to choose to think before I eat. I have spent many holidays using it as an excuse to eat what ever I want in mass quantities.

Today I am going to measure out 1 cup of macaroni salad, have 1 burger and half a bun. I will have a HUGE tossed salad for everyone to much on and veggies on the table instead of chips.

I will drink a huge glass of water before allowing myself tea or soda-because I know I never want it once the water has quenched my thirst.

I will ride my bike so my body is happy with the exercise too!!

What will you do today to stay on track??

Those are great plans!!

I will not eat something simply "because it's there" which is my biggest problem at gatherings. I also won't eat something "because my husband or someone else did" (If they can eat it so can I mentality...)

Once in a while (when it's a nice sunny day, like today) I can convince my fiance to go on a hike with me. Today that is my goal. I am going to pack us a nice bag of snacks, get on my gear and drag him down to the river! Getting him to actually DO anything besides watch tv is like pulling teeth.....so I have my work cut out for me:laugh:

Great goals!!! I am also going to convince someone else to eat what I am eating......like hummus and carrots!

No fever is a good sign. She will be resting today and taking antibiotics so she should be fine in a few days. man I hated when the kids were sick

Yes, no fever thank goodness.
Hopefully the dang pharmacy is open today so we can get her antibiotics.
She was her usual laughing & goofing around self at the hospital lastnight.
It was the fever that was knocking her down. The cough doesn't bother her at all.
