Gum, do you add it to your diary?

So, it's just something I thought about this morning and I became curious to what others do. I'm really quite good at measuring and weighing all my food and writing it down, even my non calorie drinks like hot teas and water. But, I don't add my daily gum to the diary.

I consider gum to be one of those 'non calorie' foods if there is such a thing. I certainly think I burn more calories chewing it for 30 minutes than the less than 5 calories that it cost.

I think gum is a great thing when you're craving sweet or if you have that 'empty' hunger that's just there because you're not doing something with your mouth. (Like former smokers need to keep their mouths busy I think the idea applies to people trying to watch what they eat) Also if I chew mint, which I normally do, it kind of signals to my stomach that the meal is done. (Brushing my teeth does the same thing but sometimes you're just not near a toothbrush.)

So, what do you think? Should I add the gum to diary? Do you?

I don't log gum. But I don't chew it that much since my daughter usually get to it before I do!
