How do you keep yourself motivated?

I have been yo-yoing for the last 10 years going from 133 to 179. People at work think I eat so healthy, and I try but when I go home it is a whole different story. I don’t care for junk food but I love chocolate, cookies, and red wine.
How do you keep yourself motivated not to have a glass of wine or a piece chocolate when you had a crazy day/week at work?
I have heard tons of cliché statements, and saw many videos of other people changing their lives.
I know I feel better after I walk, or do yoga, but I tend to look for any excuse to get in front of TV or computer.
Any advises?
Thank you

I calculate those treats within my calories for the day. If I have the calories. I eat that piece of chocolate, If I don't have the calories I don't eat it. Or I exercise and make the calories to be able to eat it. Most of the time it is not worth the extra exercise for me. So this is what keeps me motivated not to eat it.

Honestly... I just envision what I'm going to look like once I'm done! Haha

I have all of these things that I want to do like wear a bikini... at the beach! And fit back into a size 2-4.

I still eat junk every day (I make it fit into my calories, though) and I try to remember how *good* I feel after a run/workout. I always feel better. Period. It's just making myself remember that that's hard.

By remembering how much I hated the person i was before! I was miserable! I never want to go back to that EVER! Every day I have to remind myself that!

Looking at success stories on here are very motivating. I also do boot camp on Monday's which gets my butt in gear for the week! Also, I just started taking photos of myself to track changes. For my eyes only at this point but it helps to see!

I allow for them in my daily calories -- I enjoy wine and measure out 4 oz, and for the calorie count of one glass, divide it in half and add ice and seltzer to "stretch it." I play mind games.

I like to set myself little goals. I always get disheartened and demotivated if I say something like ' I will lose 20lbs by summer' then I get bored and it never happens, but if I break it down saying ' I will lose 1lb this week' and 'I will stay under my calorie limit today' I find that much more realistic and achievable and this keeps my momentum going.
As my school teacher once told me : 'You can't eat an elephant whole!'

    honestly, im not sure.
ive been trying all the bull**** fad diets for some time and failing regularly.

something hit me this year. it was time.

i think what keeps me dedicated at this point is that
    1. im seeing results both on the scale and on my physical body
    2. im feeling results like crazy. just an overall great feeling.
    3. ive gotten past the point of cravings and needing to eat the ****.
ive become totally satisfied with what im eating and in comparison to how i was before its a big improvement. is it the healthiest food i could possibly be eating? no. but ive shed 18lbs, so it seems to be working.

little successes here and there also keep me truckin.

today i slipped into a pair of pants my wife bought me for xmas that i couldnt even pull up. theres a little NSV that will add motivation. :)

I just imagine what I will look like when the weight is gone!
If you do snack on a 'bad' food then don't feel bad, just exercise and eat well the next day! :)

after plateauing a few times, I changed my program. I stay motivated by looking at and reading success stories on here. pics especially. I love to see the change in a person who is working hard to achieve their goals. if I'm feeling like I just don't want to work out, i look here and also at my own pics. but to be honest, one of my biggest motivators is my scale. I know most people hate scales, but I love mine. I like to see where I am each day, so I know what to do to stay on track to my weekly goal. yes, I know the scale fluxuates, and I am ok with that. It's not life or death to me. just motivation. I also like to set reasonable weekly goals and don't let myself get discouraged. I eat healthy as possible, but when I don't, i still include all consumption into my daily cals.

I try to replace bad habits with good habits. It sounds like you have identified some times when you are vulnerable. In your case, the problem might be solved by not purchasing the problem items to have in your house. Instead try replacing those items with something more healthy and somethign that will fit into your daily calorie alllowance. Good Luck.
