Getting my life back!

I tried reading through some other introductions to get an idea of what to say, but I still got nothin'. lol. Welp... here it goes! I'm Codie. I'm 25 and this past November I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. While this type of cancer has a very high cure rate, not having a thyroid brings on a whole new set of problems. For years I was struggling with hypothyroidism and thought it was difficult to maintain my weight with a partially working thyroid... but no thyroid?!?! Well, struggling is an understatement. A month before the diagnosis I broke my elbow and had to have screws put in. 3 months without using my left arm (I'm left-handed). I'm in physical therapy, but the strength is coming back slowly. And to top it off, throughout all of this my husband has been deployed. He was allowed home for my surgery and then was gone again. I have 2 small kids (1 and 3). Oh! And was just told I have genetically high cholesterol, it runs in my mom's side of the family. So... with all of that I am trying to regain my life. I want to be the best mom and wife I can be. I want to walk up a flight of stairs holding my kids and not feel like I'm going to die. I want to over come everything I just wrote... to win. And to look d@mn good when I do! So there's my story, feel free to add me as I could use the extra motivation from friends!
