How many grams of sugar per day I should consume, along with carbohydrates. I do not believe these calculations MPF generates is correct.

Personally I don't see the need to differentiate sugar from carbs (other than fiber). I would just turn off the sugar column on here.
Various national bodies suggest limits on sugars, or added sugars, or some other definition :-
http://health.gov/dietaryguidelines/dga2010/DietaryGuidelines2010.pdf says 12 and 32 grams per day of added sugars, quoted in example eating plans.
In the UK The Guideline Daily Amount for sugars is 90 grams0
