Does anyone else feel like a prisoner in their own body? I'd like to hear your story, especially from those who have 100+ lbs to lose.

I would look at it differently. There is a medical condition called "trapped in syndrome". I've cared for a few of these people over the years. Scariest thing I can think of- these poor people cant move,or talk but they can hear, think, feel. They can only just lie there and have the world happen to them.<<<Shiver>>>

    Feel better now?

I used to feel that way a lot, but I think it was mostly a product of self-loathing. The feeling started going away when I started working on self-love and body acceptance. As of right now, I feel 100% at-one with my body.

I did used to feel bit uncomfortable in my body when it wouldn't cooperate with me, though. At my highest weight it was harder to be flexible with my tummy in the way, shaving my legs was more of a chore, I couldn't walk as far as fast... those things kind of made me feel trapped in the sense my brain expected certain things of my body that my body just couldn't do. Now that I've gained those abilities back through losing some weight, any feeling of being trapped is totally gone.
