Hi I just had an Umbilical Hernia Repair almost 3 weeks ago. This is not my first hernia. The one before I had it way before I even started to do any type of exercise and it was located somwhere else. The reason I cleared that up was because most of the people I know are always telling me that I got it from exercising blah blah blah. No. U dont always get a hernia from heavy lifting. I go by what the Dr. tells me. Now heres where u come in. My doctor has givin me 4 more weeks of NO jumping, running, abs, pushups or lifting. That includes dancing and lifting my own body weight. Im only allowed to lift 10lbs total on dumbbells (boooo) and cardio which includes walking elliptical and bike. I get bored EASILY pleeease help. I need ideas on other cardio that does not include the elliptical bike or treadmill. HELP!! Im going crazy.

I had an umbilical hernia repair last year and mine was also not from exercise. Mine was from my stomach muscles being too weak/pregnancy. I am sorry I don't really have any suggestions for otehr exercises, I just wanted to tell you to make sure you don't push yourself too hard because you don't want to cause it to reopen.... that was my biggest fear.
