Well, this isn't positive motivation.. but Monday, my mom had to have a stent put in her heart becuase one of her main arteries was 98% blocked. She's not even 60. She eats greasy foods and sweets, and isn't very active. Her lifestyle could have given her a major heart attack.

I don't want that to be me.. so I am extra motivated now!

I think it's a great motivator!! I hope you find not only a girlfriend, but I hope she is a caring, sweet person who totally supports you.

Forgot: My motivation: I'd like to live past 55 and I'd like to actually feel like I'm living and not sleep walking.

Well originally my wife started going to the gym I did not stayed at home played on the computer ate pizza drank pop. She started showing interest in other men fitter men. On top of that my Father passed away due to a blood clot after a hip transplant but prior to that he had a heart transplant and alot of time in and out of the hospital. He was a factory rat, smoked too much ate crappy I dont want to turn out like him.
On top of all this we just relocated our house went into foreclosure we could not sell it.
Then got in a bad car accident no one was inujured seriously but it was a head on collision.
Like 1 week later my son broke his leg so it.
Doctors put me on anti-depressents I did not like the way they made me feel I started running just primarily as a stress reliever really never set out to loose weight just wanted to feel better. Along with that came better food choices and more running. Today I still run becouse I still enjoy it it is still a stress reliever and it keeps me in decent shape.
By the way My wife and are are still together and are still reconciling. Also I only stayed on the anti-depressents for about 2 weeks made me feel loopy.

I have been both overweight and healthy weight up and down a couple times. I know what it's like to be on each side. The overweight me is not who I want to be. I want to really care about myself, and when I'm overweight I stop caring. I am 8 pounds away from goal weight; the real goal is keeping it off this time!
