Hi everyone, I've been using the app on my phone for a couple months now but just got around to posting on here. I'm 6' tall and at my heaviest I was at 235. About 10 years ago I was big into weight lifting and used to be in really good shape. I'm an engineer so most of my day is spent sitting in front of a computer. I stopped working out about 7 years ago and gradually went from the lean 195 up to the 235. In January I cut out pop and in February I started cutting out some calories and going to the gym a couple times a week. March I got more serious about lifting, limited my net calories to 1400, and I also started cardio. Right now I work out 5 days a week. M-W-F is upper body weights and 30 minutes of jogging, T-TH is lower body weights and 50 minutes of cardio. I've been losing an average of 2 lbs per week and am now at 197 lbs. Still have a little fat around my middle to get rid of. This week my weight barely changed which which I'm sure is partly due to the increased muscle but it caused me to increase all my weights and up the speed on the treadmill. My goal weight is 190 but more than that I just want to see the fat I have left melt away and I'll be happy. So my progress to date is 38 lbs lost and 2 inches off my waist. I've also got my weights back up to almost where they were at when I was lifting heavy before. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and say it's been inspiring reading all the success stories that keep me motivated on the days that it would be sooo much easier to not go to the gym.
