My plan is to get pulled chicken (at the place we are going to the meat is weighed and bbq sauces are on the table, not slathered on), collard greens, and

Either:
House beans (assuming that stands for baked beans)
green chili corn bread (I have no idea how bad this is but it is yummy, I'm just not sure if it is worth it)
Corn on the cob with butter (This is an iffy one because I normally ask for no butter on corn on the cob but they butter all of them beforehand)

Mostly I'm not sure how bad beans and green chili corn bread would be health wise.. Which would be a better choice of the 3?

I would probably go with the baked beans. Corn bread is delicious, but high in carbs depending on your portion. Not sure if green chili corn bread is any better than normal. :) And butter is well...butter. Beans are good for you, so I would go with that.

Beans if you don't care about sugar, corn bread if you do.

Corn on the cob can only hold so much butter so its not that bad. You won't know whats in the beans and the cornbread is the worst of those choices

Depends on your specific concerns. If your biggest concern is calories, I'd stick with the corn or the cornbread. Though "house beans" could also mean a ranch or charro style of bean, in which case go for those. If they are baked beans they will likely have a fair amount of sugar (brown sugar, molasses, ketchup) and could have a fair amount of fat (if they are prepared with bacon or other meat drippings).

Oh my gosh!!! Are you going to Sonny's? The foods and sides you listed sound like Sonny's. I used to live in Florida and now live in Utah and we don't have any out here. :(

When we go back to visit family we even buy the bottles that they sell at the restaurant of their sauce to bring home and put on my slow cooked pulled pork.

But seriously, pulled or grilled chicken over pork or beef is probably your best bet meat wise. For a side its too bad they don't have a baked potato or sweet potato as an option. Those are both healthier then the ones you listed, accept maybe the corn.

I would probably go with the corn cob. Yeah there is butter on it for taste but most of it drips off and you could always use your napkin and wrap it around the corn to soak as much off as possible. I am not really sure about the nutritional value of baked beans but I would imagine they are the unhealthiest of the bean family.

Does the restaurant have a website with nutritional info? Or do they have a nutritional info sheet that you can have before you order? I think all restaurants are required by law for patrons to have access to that info now a days.
