Beginner Stretching Advice?

I am trying to work a little jogging into my exercise hoping to eventually work up to running. My legs, most especially the backs of my legs, are really tight. My shins also feel tight when I jog. They don't hurt like shin splints, just feel really tight.
I am wondering if anyone may have some good advice for a beginner with regard to stretching?
