I can't exercise at the moment!

Aside from moaning about how bloated I feel, I really just want to ask if I should set my activity level down to sedentary for the time I am unable to do anything. I have a slipped disc (it REALLY HURTS!!) and even going upstairs to bed has me crying, so light exercise is a no no, but I don't want to undo all my hard work by sitting all day long eating chocolate and feeling sorry for myself. Although it does seem rather tempting right now!

personally, with any injury or illness I eat at my maintenance calories until I am healed or not ill. Your body needs the energy to heal, eating at a deficit my prolong any healing.

Can you do any seated movements such as chi kung? It won't burn 500 calories an hour but it's better than nothing!

This seems a good idea; I may try this. Thanks!

And any movement, seated or not, really hurts. Even down to eating dinner. I may give it a go as the pain eases though.
