Android Google Calendar app

I had Jorte, but it just crashed.
Besides that my biggest complaint is if I added an event thru Google Calendar it would synch to Jorte but not vice versa.

Isnt Android a Google OS?
How is it there is no google calendar app?

I just want an app that is exactly the google calendar app.
I dont want to open google calendar in my browser though bc I want the calendar to always be displayed.
I have HTC EVO btw.

Any suggestions?

    Umm there are apps for just google calendar. I am a fan if minimalism, so I like calendr.

    HTC Sense has a native calendar app called "Calendar" that should be syncing with Google natively.

    I like my clean space too.
    I just installed the free version of Touch Calendar.

    I wanted a widget, but this app opens quickly so thats good.
    It is exactly like Google Calendar and synchs both ways.
    That was my biggest complaint. Google events made it to my other apps, but if I added an event from my app it did not synch to Google

    I want to root my EVO, but I am scared. I make computers do crazy things.

    2 main reasons I want to root.
    1) Delete pre installed bloat ware
    2) EVO has hdmi out, but it blocks Netflix out to my TV and more baffling I can only play pictures in a slide show; I cannot hdmi out individual pics to the TV

    hdmi COULD be an awesome feature

    I was spooked the first time I rooted. Now rooting, SBF'ing and reloading are 2nd nature.

    Main reasons I rooted.

    Delete or freeze bloatware
    Overclock
    be able to back up programs

    I rooted my og droid and my incredible......have rooted my nexus but haven't really done anything to it yet and still on custom r room
