Horror stories with personal trainers?

I originally thought it was just me but then I heard a lot of similar stories from other people who had trainers.
A while back I hired a personal trainer at my gym and I agreed to sign a 1 year contract because there's no way to get one without a contract, apparently. I had a few weekly sessions with him before he started telling me that the time slots I requested were no longer available and that the reason why is because the clients who train with him 4 days a week get scheduling priority. He's so booked with 4 day a week clients during prime time hours that the only times available for me, a piddly one-day-a-weeker, are during the day when I'm at work. I requested a different trainer but found out this is corporate policy and that I'd have to deal with this no matter who I used. Now I'm locked into a contract with a service I can't use unless I upgrade my membership to 4 days a week which is WAY outside the realm of what I can afford until December of this year.
I've been seeing better results working out at home with nothing but a suspension trainer and jump rope anyway...
What are your horror stories with trainers/trainer services?
EDIT: Not sure if I put this in the right category or not but it seemed like the closest.

That sucks. If your trainer isn't available when you are, you deserve your money back. End of story. I used to work at a gym and was infuriated by the shady things they pulled with "contracts." Threaten legal action - can't hurt.0

That's what I'm trying to do. This only recently started so I'm giving them a little bit longer to see what they can do on their end before I threaten anything. I really only have an hour a day on each day where I'm able to make it in to the gym, and while I understand that since it's prime time hours they're pretty busy, if they can't accommodate me during that hour a day, they're not holding up their end of the contract.0

I signed up for a trainer with 24 sessions it was a promo so I was only suppose to pay for 12 of them. The set everything us told me how much was going to come out of my account and such ya no that was not the case they were taking out more than they said and I was told after that the promo was buy 24 get 2 free not 12. It was so bad and my copy of the contract was ruined (It had to do with juice and cats don't ask) and the copy they had was not the one that they had shown me it was changed and I was pissed! so I was stuck paying almost double what I thought that I was going to be be!
The promo was that low because it was a new trainer trying to get clients at the gym0
