When do you up your calories?

I find that some people say they lose weight by upping their calorie intake. When do you know if thats someting you should do and when should you do it?

If you figure out how many calories you're burning, and the amount you've been eating is much, much lower (more than 1000 calories lower every day), then you should try eating more.
In the absence of the numbers to work with, you could just try it for a few weeks and see what happens. That's where you wind up sooner or later, since all the math is based on estimates anyway. Use them to give you a starting point, but then make small changes once in a while to see what works best for you.0
