Lifting and new tattoos

I'll be talking to my artist and PT later this week but just wanted to check with the MFP hive mind to see if anyone has any personal experience with this as well.
I'm starting work on a new tattoo next week - what I call a mini sleeve ... stops 1/2 distance between shoulder and elbow (see avatar for example) - and this is the first one I've had done since I started lifting heavy. Tattoo appt is on a Friday. My normal lift schedule is Sun/Tues/Thurs. Due to scheduling reasons (work, school, non-profit board) I really can't change up my gym schedule without dropping a larger ball elsewhere in my life.
For those of you who got new tattoos on arms while lifting:
1) How long was your "recovery" time?
2) Did you switch your routine to allow additional healing time?
3) What exercises did you change/substitute?
This will be my 11th tattoo and I normally have a pretty decent healing time but I don't want to do anything to damage the design or hinder my progress.
Thanks in advance.

Anyone? Hard to believe that no one has gotten an upper arm tattoo while actively lifting.0
