Healthy Heart program is telling me I should add psyllium fibre into my diet. Can I bake with it?
Like into some granola bar type things.
What does it taste like, if I add it to say a fruit smoothie?
I dont' want to buy metamucil and get all the added flavours colours and assorted ick.
Thanks in advance
Oh, and FYI... that clear stuff that dissolves in liquid isn't the psyllium type fibre.

I know my dad opens the pills and puts them on his cereal. I would THINK baking would be okay, but honestly I just swallow the pills. So easy and much simpler than having to put it in something.0

Do you know the reasoning behind their request to add it?0

Unless its a program prescribed by your doctor why are you taking it.0

The Healthy Heart program's nutritionist said I am doing pretty good, but am not getting enough fibre.
I THINK their main concern is from the helping to absorb the cholesterol perspective.
And YES, I was sent there by my Dr.0
