Allergy season has hit me. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO BREATHE NORMALLY AGAIN ): I've already tried holding my breath and then breathing through my nose slowly, but that only provides temporary relief. I don't have a neti pot/saline spray :(

I love my nettie pot! That was what I was going to suggest.

You could try Afrin...but do NOT use for more than 3 days. I typically use flonase or my nettie pot... maybe an allergy otc would work like Zyrtec, Allegra.... Do you have a humidifer?

This of course is not medical advice.....

    ^^^THIS

I use the negative gravity one by NeilMed so it gently forces saline thru your sinus cavity.
I was on several steroidal nasal sprays, allergy medications AND even prednisone for my allergies...Allegra, Claratin, Cingulair, Rhinocort, Nasonex

Once I started using the netti pot, I didn't have to use the allergy meds. Haven't used any for 5 years now, Meds just alleviate the allergy symptoms, the netti pot actually flushes away the pollen from your nose that cause the symptoms.

    Good Luck! allergies are horrible!

Daily saline cleanse during the season will help. Neti pots are good to, but my wife has had more success with that than me. I know quite a bit about this issue as I just had nasal surgery about 6 months ago....and that was no fun at all!
