How much exercise is enough?

I have currently built myself up to 60 minutes daily of moderate exercise, I also take a slow 30 minute walk during my lunch break but as I have a desk job I don't count this and just hope it gets me up to the miminum amount of steps you should take daily.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday I swim for 30 minutes in the morning, the I do a 30 minute bootcamp class on the evening. On the days I don't swim I do a 60 minute class.

Do you think this is enough? How much exercise are you doing to maintain losing 1 or 2lbs a week?

I will not eat less than 1500 calories a day.

Well if you want to lose 2lbs a week just work out your BMR and how many calories you're burning a day through exercise, if this is 2500 or more per day then you are fine, if it is less then you might only lose 1-1.5lb a week.

That sounds like a good amount of exercise but you should work it out yourself by adding up the amount of calories you burn, we can't give you a definitive answer and what works for other people might not necessarily work for you.

It is plenty, you are doing excellently!!

I am only running three times per week, (running around 4 to 5 miles per time), I also cycle to work sometimes and that round trip will be eight miles.

Believe me, you are doing great!
