My work blocks certain sites, so if the photo they are linking to is on one of those it just totally doesn't show - perhaps you browser shows it as a red 'x' instead.

As an ex member of the IT department I can circumvent these restrictions, so perhaps there is a way you can too, if you get friendly with your local IT man?
