Hey all! Ever since getting serious about MFP in April, I have been wearing my hair in ponytails and things because I am always working out. I went to flat iron it the other day and it has GROWN. Not that I am complaining at all, but has anyone else seen a correlation between workouts and hair growth??
Enjoy your weekend, pals!

For me, working out a lot is damaging for my hair. It isn't good to wear elastics in your hair, or to put it in ponytails, and washing it every day isn't great for it.0

The better I eat and the more I take care of myself, the better my skin and my hair look. I imagine the same correlation is in effect here: taking better care of your health has improved the health and growth of your hair.
I got curious and did a quick Google search. This isn't the most scientific article in the world, but this is from eHow:
"Regular cardiovascular and aerobic exercise can promote hair growth. According to Revivogen.com, when you are stressed, it's possible for your hair to thin or fall out. This is because your body produces more cortisone. This hormone causes hair follicles to stop growing, which can result in thinning of the hair. Exercise can reduce the amount of cortisone present in the body. Lower levels of the cortisone hormone will help hair grow faster and fuller."

I have been probably because I've been drinking more water and taking vitamins regularly.0
