How great is it?

...running that is. I'm in desperate need to lose about 10-20 pounds. I'm a very athletic person, but I just can't seem to lose any weight. I've recently began running (about 2 weeks ago) for about 2 miles 4-6 days a week. I eat pretty healthy (I treat myself every once in a while to whatever I want), and I have quit drinking for the last few weeks. Do you think I'll drop the weight easy by running? Is it good for toning? I'm just sick of being flabby!
