Calorie counting....

Hi I'm new to this & have been keeping updated with the app all week. But I I think I've been doing it wrong...can anyone help please.
I have the app, & daily putting in what I eat/drink.
On my diary today it reads:
Goal: 1200
Food: 1035
Excercise: 0
Net: 1035
Remaining: 165
So does this mean I'm only allowed up to 1200 calories aday & have 165 remaining today. Or is the 1200 minimum & I have another 165 to eat?? If that's my minimum, what's my
Maximum?? Also somedays I'm doing exercise. 3 times a week.
Confused!?
Please help, this is 1st time I've ever needed to do anything like this.

The 1200 per day is their calculation of what you should intake for you to lose the amount of weight you specified per week you would like to lose. Log your exercise as well, because that will add to the calories you can intake and still lose the specified amount per week.0

That is maximum you should eat, but the deal is to save more calories to lose those extra pounds, you can add up even more by burning more calories in exercise0

Yes I have included my Excercise although not done much this week!
Thanks for the quick replies! Massive help! X0 -
As others have already said, 165 is what you have left for the day ("calories remaining"). Logging exercise will increase these calories. Exercise calories taste the BEST!
As you get used to the site, I'd also suggest tracking fat, carbohydrates, and protein. Try to meet your daily goals for those as well, or at least get as close as you can. Once your body adjusts to being fed a balanced meal, you'll find that you can stay within your calorie budget with a whole lot less hunger.0
