I have been told that using free weights is better than using weight machines. Can someone please help me with this.
Maybe there is no difference????

i think a lot of it has to do with range of motion and also engaging core/other muscles to support yourself while doing free weights. i've noticed more definition in my midsection and definitiely legs from switching from the machines to free weights.0

The main problem with machines is that you don't have a full range of motion and you don't get as much of your stabilizing muscles involved since with a machine press you don't have to keep things level or straight up and down0
