Ok this may sound silly, but...
I started out at 245 last August, I'm now 193. I've lost weight all over but now I feel like my butt is getting too small. I'm 5"8, bigger framed 24 year old female. Most of my weight now lies in my stomach. All I do for excercise is 20 mins a day on my elliptical. I'm just starting now with alternating between the elliptical and 30 mins of walking/jogging at an average of 6mph.
I'm wondering if there's anything I can do that will reduce the work out in my legs and butt, and target my stomach. I've noticed while walking my sides, and upper stomach burn. Is walking better than an elliptical for what I'm trying to do?

Nope. You really can't spot reduce. You can continue to do exercises that help the glutes. You can google good exercises. But the best thing you can do is continue to lose fat all over. If you tend to hold weight in your mid-section, it may be the last to go.0

where is your weight training routine?0

From what I've read you can't spot reduce. Maybe if you start incorporating weight lifting you could start to build muscle in your lower areas and tone up your core helping you all the way around.0

I would think that as you continue to approach your so-called ideal weight your body proportions should even out. Just keep plugging away at it. Walking is great exercise.0

You may want to add weight training to your workouts 3x a week. Even things like pushups, planks and lunges with help.0

Thanks! I'm going to try mixed martial arts 2 days a week, just for the work out. My brothers a fighter and has been bugging me for years to join the women's class. I promised him that when I lost some weight I would, so I'm starting next week. Hopefully that will help out a bit. I still have 28 lbs or so to lose0

Yes, do some weight lifting to tone your skin. You can do the following:
Biceps - curls
Triceps - extensions, kick backs
Shoulders - lateral and front raises
Forearms - wrist curls, reverse wrist curls
Pecs - dumbell press (incline, flat, decline), flyes
Abs - standing dumbell side bends, dumbell crunches
Back - reverse flyes
Hamstrings/Quadriceps - squats, lunges, dead lifts
Calves - calf raises
I've been doing this everyday and I must say that I've got a firm skin. You can find great dumbbells here: http://bestadjustabledumbbellsreviews.com/0 -
like the other said, you cant spot reduce so you cant untarget a place for fat loss. just continue to do what you're doing but add in weighted squats and lunges to build a perky butt, but also make sure to do full body weighted exercises to keep your muscles in balance0
