exercise with injury

Hello -I only started yesterday after being reccommended by a friend-very helpful as it helps to track everything I eat.
I do love my food and eat healthily but obviously too much!
After a badly fractured ankle last year and a lot of forced inactivity I am 4 kgs heavier than I was before accident and I was no lightweight before!
Have found Aqua-fitness is best for me at the moment as it is low impact and I am also now able to get back to my garden in short 1 hour bursts....also doing a bit more walking and able to stand and walk around all day at work even though sometimes my pain medication is not quite good enough. Wish me luck!
