Hi Everyone. I am 38 and looking for encouragers to help me lose my first 48 pounds. I need to loose about 65-70 but gotta start somewhere. I have battled my weight my whole life and really want to know what it feels (and looks like) to be less than 200 pounds. I want to feel better physically but mostly I want to feel better about me. I know I will do so much better if I have a cheering squad. I do good until I loose the first ten and then I get lazy. I love food and very much an emotional eater. I want to stop this viscious cycle that I tend to get myself on. Been on here for a week now and find it easier to track my food with the app on my phone and really enjoy the exercise that I have been getting. I know its a lifestyle change but I feel like I am ready this time FOR REAL. I see alot of folks on here with great success and I hope to be among them in the next year.

Hope all you moms out there have a great Mother's Day! Enjoy your weekend.

Welcome to MFP! I'm finding this site to be incredibly helpful. Not only can I really track what I eat and how active I am, the encouragement from everyone else is wonderful! You're smart to set shorter goals and move from there. It really helps to stay motivated when you can achieve a goal sooner.

Good luck on your weight loss journey! Stick with it. What helps me is imagining the day when I step on that scale and it reveals that # that seems so far away at the moment! :)
