Not losing weight fast enough

Hi there - I am fairly new to MFP - have been doing it for about a 2 months but have been very slow to lose weight. I had a hysterectomy a couple of years ago and I have depression. I take alot of medications, perhaps this is the reason that it is so slow this time. Anyone else in this situation? Just don't have the energy to go to gym currently - do 20-30 minutes walks with my dog.

Keep in mind when cutting calories...

    You stress the body.
Depression stresses the body as well.
Not using your muscles like lifting weight means youll probably lose a great deal of lean mass with fat.
Cortisol, caused by stress prevents the maintenance of lean body mass and in large doses will help maintain fat.
    YIKES!

So my 2 cents is relax.
Choose 20 mins every couple days and do some push ups and squats.
    Lunges and crunches.
Do something to stimulate the muscles.

As for the depression you already know that hormones play a huge role and if you dont have your ovaries then you are at a disadvantage.
Seek counseling and find some way to beat the stress.
    It sucks but its true.

Get 15-20 mins of sun a day.

The walks should be at a quick pace but not so fast as to wear you out.

Hope things get better for you!
HRT works well also and some insurance companies cover it.

    Join a gym!
when you have to pay for it sometimes its motivating to go!
