Exercises for hips and buttocks

Are there any good exercises to slim the hips and buttocks? Does walking help slim them? Any tips or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

    Lunges and squats are really good. Also, the more fat you lose, the slimmer your body gets. It's impossible to reduce fat at certain spots.

    Walking can help you lose weight which will make your legs slimmer, but we lose weight all over our bodies at the same time. Lunges, squats, step ups, and leg press will make them more shapely, as in muscles.

    Squats and lunges. I did quite a few of those when doing P90x. My butt is actually higher than it was before. :)
