...so I'd like to know about some other things I use often. I know there are a few people on here who are well-educated on what goes into certain products and I'd like them to educate me as well.

The first one being I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray. I know it can't be good for me, but I actually like the taste of it and it has no calories and no fat!

The other is energy drinks. The one I drink is called Venom, and Mojave Rattler is the "flavor". Half a can makes me want to run run run! It's about 50 calories for a can, which I run off quickly!

Bring it on, the good the bad and the ugly, tell me all about it.

I substitute Cool Whip Free along with Strawberries for my ice cream fix... It's only 15 Cals per 2 tablespoons...

Everything is okay in moderation

Be careful of 'Calorie Free' foods. Espescially 'Health' foods.

The Governent says that if calories are under a certain unit- they may be labelled as zero calories. They are NOT zero calories in reality. Water is zero calories, not a butter spray. So you do need to research and figure out exactly how many calories are in a spray- then figure out how much you're eating of it.

The Government does the same thing with Trans Fat.

Right! If it's the lesser of two evils to use real butter and keep an eagle eye on it, then I'd rather do that!

It just depends on how you look at it. It's all about additives and chemicals. Those are all good options compared to others: Cool whip compared to regular whip or ice cream, I can't believe it's not butter compared to margerine, etc. I don't think you could outright call them a healthy food, but it's a good alternative. Here's a link to a post from the 150 healthiest foods on earth regarding butter:

I use them in moderation, and I'm not dead yet lol. Spray butter actually does have about 5 calories per 10 sprays I think?

Yes. Yes it is. Funny video. I've tried making my own whipped cream, but I got carried away and it became butter. :grumble:

Just to add on one thing you missed.
They can say "calorie free" if it's less than 5 calories per "SERVING" or per reference amount.

    Got this from hungrygirl website.

The "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" spray has ZERO calories if you use just a few spritzes. However, if you do what most of us do and spray to your heart's content, you can rack up calories and fat grams pretty quickly. Here's the scoop: 12.5 sprays is 10 calories and 1 gram of fat, 25 sprays (1 teaspoon) is 20 calories and 2 grams of fat, and 37.5 sprays is 30 calories and 3 grams of fat.

In case you're curious, the entire bottle contains 900 calories and 90 grams of fat! Helpful hint: When it comes to this stuff, stick with spraying as opposed to pouring

And yea, cool whip is horrible for you and those energy drinks are probably not so good for you either. I saw a study online one time about how they raise your cholesteral almost immediately. (don't quote me on that but it was some really scary crazy side effect)

For me it is about the additives and the things that they are made of that are not natural. The other thing for me is taste. I would rather have a small amount of real butter and have that flavor than the flavor of chemical with less calories. I don't eat clean all the time but I do try to control what I eat so I am not eating much processed foods.
I'm the same with low fat. I'd rather have the full fat sour cream and eat a smaller portion. The full fat tastes better so then I use less because I get more flavor.

If you can't read the ingredients, if you don't know what the ingredient words say, basically it is not food!

Most American made peanut butters contain Rape seed oil! In Canada, rape seed oil is used as a pesticide! And is prohibited in their food manufacturing. Just because something tastes good does not mean it is good for you. Tooth paste tastes good, but It is not food!

Diet Soda tastes great, in women who drink it there are way higher instances of breast Cancer! Stop killing yourself, you are worth more! Eat real food. Period!

Once upon a time a long time ago I bought some of it. I accidentally left it out of the fridge at night, in the morning I opened it up to see if it was still good, I was horrified, it had separated into water and weird gunky sludge! it probably does that in your body too! Never again will I buy or plan to eat this chemical garbage, when I go to potluck things I ask what is in the waldorf salad! Save your arteries, eat real food!

Its why I REFUSE to touch canola oil! I'll take butter, olive oil, vegetable oil, or even coconut oil over anything with rape seed.

And to think they have to heat it to over 600 degrees so it does not stink a vile smell, then say hey, lets put this in food! Appalling!

Whipped cram in a can is actually REAL cream, and is found in the refrigerated section near milk, sour cream...etc.

Cool whip is sold in the frozen food, usually near the desserts, and comes in a tub. It has the consistency of hard whipped butter when frozen, and when thawed in the fridge does look a bit like whipped cream, but it is a chemical concoction, as you have learned from prior posts.
