So all my life I have been a big girl and I lose weight, then gain it right back. Anyway, I was at the gym the other day and was on a spinning bike going as hard as I could when all of a sudden I realized I needed to lose this weight for good. I spun threw a whole song and I ended up crying threw it too, not because it hurt but because I wasn't running out of breath and mostly because I realized that I can do this..I was feeling good. I guess that was "my" moment. Just wanted to share this moment and see if anyone else is emotional too.

Sometimes I get emotional when I realise I can do things that previously I thought I couldn't. For me, eating has only been half the battle because most of it has come down to my mental health but I can totally relate to being emotional when feeling "Yes, I can do this and I will do this!".

    Go you! x

There are times when I went to cry because I lose ten pounds and then gain it back. Again.

This time. This time I will lose all of the weight!

My moment was last monday when I finally, after months of getting back in shape for riding horse, managed to do a full jumping corse.

I'm going to embarrass myself now, but I feel weird emotionally usually after my workout. Sometimes I'll hear a cool guitar riff on the radio and think, "that's so metal, dude! *sob*". I told my doctor about that, because I thought maybe something was wrong. He got a chuckle out of it.
Here's the thing: your hormones can have a big impact on your mood. Most of your hormones don't stay at the same level all the time. They have ups and downs from one day to the next. Exercise can cause certain hormones swing up and down even more, so exercise can have some funny effects on your mood. Enjoy feeling like a teenager again.

Oh my, my emotions have been all over the place through all of this. Of course it's not just the getting healthy and weight loss, its just daily life or stress than can bring out the worst or emotional in me.

Sometimes I too get teary eyed when I think about how far I have come. Then sometimes I get mad thinking I have worked so hard and most days I STILL don't like my body. Sometimes I go walking or jogging and I just get to thinking about stuff and can find myself wanting to cry or get emotional. Sometimes I get mad about poor choices of food or just the way my mind tortures me and then I can go from 0 to 60 and be pi$$ed off beyond belief, ranting, raving. I seriously have to look or sound like a crazy person.

I said in another post, that I was surprised about how many emotions I have felt, and still feel, during this journey. That it truly is just as mental and emotional as it is physical.

You are not alone on the emotional roller coaster. I'm on it with you. I made an appt. with a nutritionist to jump start my new way of thinking about food and what I put into my body. I went for my second appt. and brought my food journal with me. She was thrilled with my choices and my weight loss. She kept praising me and telling me what I good job I've been doing. I made it through the appt., but when I got into the car, I burst into tears. It was such a relief to know I was FINALLY taking charge of my health, and I felt so validated and motivated by her praise. I had a good cathartic cry. Tears are good. Keep up the good work!
