Sorry this post is so late. I am struggling with having one of those days where I just don't care about if I am "good" or not as far as eating and exercising. But I am fighting it.
Did you stay withing you nutritional goals?
Yes
Did I reach yesterday's personal goal?
No, still having a hard time getting water in.
What did I do yesterday that I am proud of?
Got up at 4:30 am to be at spinning class at 5:15
What would I have done differently?
Drank all my water.
What is today's personal goals?
Drink all my water.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Knowing all of you would be looking for the post made me finially do it. At first I didn't even care about posting, I figured someone else would start it today. But it's good to know people are counting on me. Well I guess I am going to vent a little, I will apologize ahead of time.
I have been on this site and working hard to lose weight since January and as you can tell by my ticker...I have only lost a wopping 5 lbs. I just keep "playing" with the same few pounds up and down. And this morning I got on the scale and it was an up day. Even though it's happened a 100 times and I know I had a lot of sodium yesterday, it was the last draw! I have really been working hard at exercising the last few weeks. The last couple of months I've bounced around between 1200 and 1400 daily calories plus exercise earned, cuz some people said that maybe 1200 wasn't enough. In April I did find that I have hypothyroidism and started a Rx for it. But still nothing. So today I just had the "it's not worth the effort" feeling. But I have been reading about the Clean Eating program, cuz processed foods can mess with your metabolism. Basicallyl if it didn't have a mother or come from the ground, don't eat it (quoted from Jillian Michaels). I am toying with the idea of trying it. It will just take a big effort and a lot of planning. But something has to work.
So there's my rant, thanks for listening and the positive words of encouragement. I did end up doing my Couch to 5K training today.0 -
Good for you, you have to just keep going!! I know it is a lot easier to give up, but that won't make you happy in the end. This journey, hard as it may be, is worth it!! We can all do it and we are all here for the same reasons.
i have been doing the Clean Eating and really like it. We still have a few things in the house that aren't 100% clean, but the majority of our foods are. It doesn't have to be perfect, but the further you can get away from processed 'junk' the better.
Good luck and we're all here for you0 -
First, let me say that I'm right with you Nlongenecker and I'm typing this up as much for myself as for you  I have the same 5 pound loss since beginning in April. The most I've lost is 7 pounds so far and I gained 2 lbs back this week. It is SO frustrating and I have been so tempted to quit several times hence my lack of a chain. The thing that keeps me still trying is that quitting isn't going to help. I won't lose weight if I quit paying attention and I will probably gain more. I'm sick of drawing lines in the sand only to allow myself to cross them - i.e. I won't go over 175 lbs, I won't go higher than 200 lbs, I won't go higher than 225 - well, I'm at 231 so something has to give and it's my old habits. But I'm a work in process and while I may not be seeing the scale move, I am healthier than I was in March. So that's my reasoning for still being here.
So now for my questions...
Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Yes
Did you meet yesterday's personal goal? Yes
What would you have done differently? Not eaten that piece of birthday cake even though I had the calories to do it.
What did you do yesterday that you are proud of? I drank a bunch of water and I got complimented during my exercise class for my form - after they busted me for using the lighter weights
What is today's personal goal? No evening/night time snacking! I don't have the calories and I don't want to do it - REALLY!
