Success Sunday

Happy Mother's Day to everyone first off...

Secondly, I am very proud of myself. I finished my first 5k today. I am sicker than a dog and it was raining and cold, but I didn't let it stop me from achieving my goal! I plan on walking many more in the future, and maybe even get to the point where I could run one! We finished in about an hour.

This was to support Hospice and in memory of my friends mother who passed away to breast cancer.

I'm the one on the left.

What did you do on your successful Sunday?

I resisted the left over birthday cake in my fridge.

Great job pushing yourself when you felt crappy and the weather sucked!!

I managed to not go over my calorie goal even though I had a less than healthy dinner.

Well, I went over my calorie goal a bit, which is unusual for me, but it was a nice Mother's Day celebration with my husband's (my!) family. I'd love to do a 5k sometime...just let me know when and where since we're so close! Congratulations on your determination...I'm not sure I'd have gone through with it being sick. :-(

I'm down four pounds in five days, my first five days on fitness pal. I'm easily shattering my calorie goals just because I've found this thing. The mobile app is the best thing in my life right now. I always thought feeling full meant I'd ruined my day so I'd continue to eat after fullness. Now that I can see exactly where I stand, I know I can get full by eating the right things and still stay WAY under goal with a little exercise. 1,200 left over today, can't even fit a little more into my stomach; so full of guacamole and homemade baked tortilla chips.

Will do! I know for sure I want to do the breast cancer walk they have in Oct. My friend usually has the scoop on all the 5K's. I will let you know and we can walk it together!

So awesome! Way to be a warrior!

For my successful Sunday I started the 30 Day Shred, worked out at the gym and survived a 1lb box of Mother's Day sees candy :) Not too shabby!
