Ok...I seem to have a hard time getting my calories in so I have taken up the advice of some knowledgeable people and I am incorporating healthy snacks into my meal plan...
So, anyway I was doing apples and bananas and stuff like that, but then I was getting bored with that so, I bought some of those 100 calories snack packs (yummy)...and now I have branched out a little more with my snacking
My favorite thus far is the Triscuit (cracked pepper and olive oil) crackers and string cheese....
For 6 Triscuits and one string cheese its 190 calories, 20 carbs, 9g fat, and 9g protein. That with about 20 oz of water and I'm feeling VERY satisfied and its full of flavor!!!
Just wanted to share
The carbs are all from the triscuits, of course. So, if you are not "doing" carbs, this wouldn't work for you (:... BUT this snack makes me feel like I'm still living in the real world and eating what I "want"
I haven't been reaching my calories or fat goals, so this snacking is helping me get in the things my body needs....
Any suggestions? Is this NOT a good choice for me? I woud love to have any feedback on this...

Even if you are watching carbs, Triscuits are ok to have on occasion because they should have a fair amount of fiber which is subtracted from the carbs................so it will have less of an impact on your blood sugar and having it with a protein such as cheese makes it even better.........
The like the rosemary and olive oil I believe it is..........and extra sharp cheddar cheese.0 -
I actually think this sounds like a great snack!! Good mix of healthy carbs and proteins! Sounds good!0

My favorite isTriscuit Parmesan Garlic Thin Crisps - they are out of this world!! 1/2 serving (8 crisps) is 70 calories, plus 1 Kraft lowfat 2% string cheese, 70 calories.......140 calories, you feel like you're getting a "naughty" snack because of the crunch, and it satisfies for a long time!! Throw in a little fresh salsa and you REALLY feel like you're cheating!!
The hubby even likes them and will snack on them - that's amazing!!0 -
